Baris Sonmez

Baris Sonmez is a seasoned network engineer with extensive experience in the networking field. Currently serving as a Senior Network Engineer at Huawei since September 2023, Baris is responsible for technical design and planning of network projects, alongside providing support and analysis. Prior roles include Senior Network Engineer at CK Enerji and Network Security Engineer at Turk Telekom, where responsibilities comprised multivendor firewall management and security hardening. Baris has also held positions as a Network Engineer at NETSYS BILISIM and as a Network Engineer at barissonmez.dev, showcasing expertise in Cisco, Fortinet, and Juniper products. Baris’s professional history began at TP-Link Technologies Co., Ltd as a Network Specialist. Baris holds a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from Istanbul University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Anadolu University, along with a High School Diploma in Information Technologies from Tuzla Anatolian Technical High School.
