Paballo Trevor Motsamai

Paballo Trevor Motsamai has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Paballo Trevor started their career as an Engineer in Training at Eskom in 1994, where they gained valuable experience in plant modifications proposals, performance monitoring, and data analysis. Paballo Trevor later worked as a System Engineer and Performance Engineer at Eskom, focusing on plant optimization and making corrective action recommendations.

In 1997, Motsamai joined Steinmüller as a Commissioning Engineer, where they were responsible for commissioning horizontal mills and providing support for other plants. Paballo Trevor also managed quality assurance and control, ensuring adherence to ISO 9000.

Moving forward, Motsamai worked at Alstom Energy Systems (Pty) Ltd as a Project Manager/Engineer, where they compiled tenders, attended site meetings, and managed stakeholder relations. Paballo Trevor also achieved success in procuring goods and services and resourcing project management teams.

At Total South Africa (Pty) Ltd, Motsamai served as a Projects Manager/Engineer. In this role, they compiled due diligence reports, prepared RFPs for capital projects, and project-managed a portfolio of projects, including procuring goods and services and resourcing project management teams.

Motsamai then joined PBMR (Pty) Ltd, initially as a Contracts Manager and subsequently as a Project Risk Manager, where they were responsible for managing project contracts and mitigating risks.

In their most recent role as Head of Projects Contracts Management at Trans Caledon Tunnel Authority, Motsamai was accountable for the commercial activities during procurement, construction, and post-construction stages of projects. Paballo Trevor developed procurement strategies, ensured compliance with relevant statutes, and aligned processes with project objectives.

Paballo Trevor Motsamai has an extensive education history. Paballo Trevor started their educational journey by completing A levels in Science at Loughborough College from 1989 to 1990. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Fuel and Energy at the University of Leeds from 1991 to 1994. In 2003, Paballo attended Cranefield College, where they obtained an Advanced Diploma in Project Management. Additionally, they pursued an MBA in Management at North-West University/Noordwes-Universiteit from 2003 to 2005. Lastly, from 2013 to 2018, they attended the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika, where they successfully completed a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) in Legal Professions and Studies.
