Jack Dykstra

Jack Dykstra is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in project management and electrical engineering, currently serving as CTG Senior EIC Project Engineer at TransAlta since August 2019, focusing on coal to gas conversions and major electrical, instrumentation, and controls projects. Previously, Dykstra held the role of Engineering Manager at ATCO Electric from April 2010 to February 2019, where responsibilities included leading teams in multiple engineering disciplines and managing outsourcing efforts. Earlier experience at TransAlta included various roles from Project Manager to Senior Electrical & Controls Engineer, leading complex projects under budget and on schedule, including significant uprates of coal-fired generators and the execution of critical maintenance projects. Dykstra holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alberta and a Master’s Certificate in Project Management from The University of Lethbridge.
