Xuexin Sean Zhang

Xuexin Sean Zhang has extensive experience in the field of information security and data protection. Xuexin Sean is currently the Director of Information Security at Transcarent, where they are responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of the company's information systems. Prior to this, they held the role of Venture Partner at Berkeley Frontier Fund, where they focused on investing in Berkeley startups for the benefit of the university.

Before joining Transcarent and Berkeley Frontier Fund, Xuexin Sean Zhang worked at Teladoc Health as the Director of InfoSec & Data Protection, where they developed and implemented a comprehensive security strategy and framework for the company. Xuexin Sean also authored and communicated policies and standards to achieve common security objectives.

Previously, Xuexin Sean Zhang held various leadership positions at Livongo, including Director of InfoSec & Data Protection and Sr. Manager of InfoSec & Data Protection. In these roles, they were responsible for ensuring the security and protection of data within the company.

Prior to their time at Livongo, Xuexin Sean Zhang worked at EY as a Senior Consultant & Manager in Advisory Services, specializing in Cyber Security. Xuexin Sean'sresponsibilities included supporting enterprise IT in SOX service accounts remediation initiatives and developing methodologies for identifying and categorizing service accounts.

Earlier in their career, Xuexin Sean Zhang worked at Cisco as an IT Infrastructure Security Engineer, where they played a key role in designing and implementing the company's external Federation Identity-Provider infrastructure. Xuexin Sean also worked at Rambus as an IT Infrastructure Engineer, where they upgraded the RSA Single-Sign-On service and evaluated various DHCP/DNS appliances for a replacement project.

Throughout their career, Xuexin Sean Zhang has demonstrated expertise in information security, data protection, identity and access management, and risk management. Xuexin Sean has a strong track record of developing and implementing effective security strategies and frameworks to safeguard organizational information.

Xuexin Sean Zhang earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering & Computer Sciences from the University of California, Berkeley in 2008. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications, including Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) from ISACA in 2016, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in 2015, and CIW Web Security Professional from CIWcertified in 2014, among others.
