Khémary Um

Preclinical Project Manager at TransCure bioServices

Khémary Um has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. In 2011, they started with an internship at Ecole des Mines d'Alès, where they focused on estrogenic activity and parabens occurrence in wastewater treatment plants. They also conducted biological analysis of ochratoxin A in wine samples. Following this, Khémary worked as a lab technician apprentice at ImmunAlp in 2012.

In 2013, they briefly worked as a production technician at Merial, a Sanofi Company. Then, in 2014, Khémary became a lab technician at CEA - Commissariat à l'énergie atomique et aux énergies alternatives, where they studied the effect of new compounds for Wilson's disease treatment through animal experimentation.

From 2016 to 2018, Khémary worked as an R&D Engineer apprentice at EFS, conducting immunomonitoring on various groups, including healthy donors, pregnancy women, newborn children, and cancer patients. They performed extracellular and intracellular staining of immune cells subsets using flow cytometry techniques.

In 2018, Khémary took a break to experience a Working Holidays Visa in New Zealand with WHV New Zealand. Finally, in 2019, they joined TRANSCURE BIOSERVICES as a Preclinical Project Manager, where they are currently employed.

Khémary Um started their education at Lycée Marie Curie from 2010 to 2012, where they obtained a High level technician degree (BTS) in Bioanalysis and control. In 2012 to 2013, they attended both Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1 and Université Joseph Fourier (Grenoble I) and earned a French Bachelor (Licence professionnelle) in Animal production with a focus on Technologies in Physiology and Physiopathology - Option Pharmacology. From 2016 to 2018, Khémary Um pursued a Master's in Biology, Health and Ecology at École Pratique des Hautes Études, specializing in Signaling and integrated systems in biology.
