Michael Jones has a long and varied work experience. Michael began their career in 1990 as a STA Research Fellow at the Japanese Foundation for Cancer Research. In 1992, they moved to Cambridge University as a Research Associate. From 1995 to 2003, they worked at Chugai Pharmaceuticals as a Senior Research Scientist and Research Scientist. In 2003, they joined Invitrogen as a Senior Manager in Corporate Development. In 2008, they became the COO of REPROCELL. Michael also served as a Venture Advisor for Orion Healthcare Equity Partners from 2007 to 2010. In 2010, they founded and became CEO of Cell Guidance Systems, a company focused on PODS technology, reagents and kits for exosome research, and cytogenetics services. From 2013 to 2018, they served as a Non Executive Director for TransSINE Technologies. In 2018, they became a Non Executive Director for Transine Therapeutics.
Michael Jones completed a BSc in Genetics from Liverpool University, UK between 1983 and 1986. Michael then went on to pursue a PhD in Molecular Biology of Cancer from Newcastle University, UK from 1986 to 1990.
