Director Of Smart Mobility Project Delivery at Transnomis Solutions Inc.

Yeatland Wong has over 20 years of experience in the field of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and transportation engineering. Yeatland began their career in 2001 at the British Columbia Ministry of Transportation, where they focused on highway evaluation and safety improvement analysis. In 2002, they joined Dillon Consulting Limited as a Transportation Engineer.

In 2006, Yeatland moved to the City of Calgary, where they held several roles. Yeatland served as a Traffic Signals Engineer, working on signal timings and corridor studies. Yeatland then became an Advanced Traffic Management Systems Specialist, proposing and implementing new traffic system technologies. As an Executive Advisor to the General Manager of Transportation, they facilitated municipal legislative processes and strategic ITS initiatives. Yeatland also served as the Senior Traffic Leader, overseeing traffic control signage, speed limits evaluation, pedestrian crossings, and parking assessment. One of their notable achievements during this time was increasing the centre city curbside parking inventory by over 400 spaces.

In 2018, Yeatland joined Stantec as a Senior Intelligent Transportation Systems Engineer, specializing in planning, design, and application of new technology to enhance transportation networks. Yeatland worked on various intelligent transportation solutions, including connected vehicles, lane reversal systems, and traveler information. In 2021, they joined Transnomis Solutions Inc. as the Director of Smart Mobility Project Delivery. In this role, they are responsible for implementing smart mobility and advanced transportation technology projects, leading a project delivery team, and providing strategic leadership in ITS and connected and autonomous vehicles (CAV).

Since 2017, Yeatland has also been serving as a Director and Board of Directors member for ITS-STI Canada (Intelligent Transportation Systems Society of Canada).

Yeatland Wong attended the University of Calgary from 1995 to 2000, where they earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree with a focus on Transportation and Highway Engineering.
