David Wells has extensive work experience in the field of technology planning and management. David has held various leadership roles at Transport for London, starting with the position of Business Analysis Team Lead in the Surface Transport Technology division from August 2014 to May 2017. In this role, they led a team of business analysts and was responsible for resource planning, recruitment, and stakeholder engagement. David then moved on to become the Lead Business Architect and IT Engagement Lead from May 2017 to November 2022. In this role, they led a matrix team and worked closely with stakeholders to shape technology solutions and deliver transformational programs. Currently, they are serving as the Head of Technology Planning and Management (Technology Strategy & EA), overseeing capital investments and contributing to organizational objectives. Before their tenure at Transport for London, David worked at the University of Greenwich in various business analysis and recruitment roles from 2000 to 2014.
David Wells obtained a Bachelor of Science (MSc Hons) degree in Computing and Information Systems from the University of Greenwich in the years 2001 to 2004. In addition to their degree, they also earned various certifications such as MoP® Certifications from PeopleCert in 2021, BCS Diploma in Business Architecture from AssistKD in 2015, BCS Business Analysis Practice from QA Ltd in 2015, Managing Successful Programmes Practitioner (MSP) from AXELOS Global Best Practice in January 2018, and other certifications including BCS Business Process Modelling, ITIL V3 Foundation, and Prince 2 from QA Ltd.
