Hernando Koning

Hernando Koning has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Hernando started their career as a Professional Soldier in the Dutch Royal Navy from 1998 to 2002. After that, they worked as a Trainee at the Parts & Accessories Division of Kawasaki Motors Europe N.V. for several months in 2006.

Following their traineeship, Hernando joined Yamaha Motor Europe N.V., where they held several roles. Hernando was an Area Manager in the Eastern Europe Division from 2007 to 2009, responsible for dealer network development and market development in emerging markets. Hernando then became an Area Sales Manager in the Powered Two Wheeler Division from 2009 to 2010, overseeing sales targets for motorcycles, registered scooters, and 50cc vehicles in various countries. Hernando later transitioned to the Area Sales Manager role in the Area Development Department, taking charge of sales targets and relationship management with Yamaha distributors in 2010.

In 2014, Hernando moved to Hyva and served as a Sales Coordinator for Capital Equipment, managing orders, price maintenance, and customer support. Hernando also took on the position of After Market Manager for Western Europe, Middle East, and Africa from 2017 to 2023, where they focused on providing innovative transport solutions for the commercial vehicle and environmental service industries.

Most recently, Hernando joined Tranter in 2023 as an After Sales Manager for the Benelux region.

Hernando Koning completed their high school education at C.S.G Dingstede Meppel - HAVO from 1992 to 1998. Hernando then attended Hanzehogeschool Groningen / Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen from 2002 to 2006, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Commercial Economics (HEAO). In addition to their formal education, Hernando obtained several certifications. In 2001, they completed a Schooter Machine Gun 20mm Oerlikon course with the Koninklijke Marine. In 2002, they participated in a Technical Course for Beginners conducted by KNMV. Hernando also obtained certifications in MS Excel 2007 Basis UK, MS Office 2007 Overstap UK, MS PowerPoint 2007 UK, and MS Word 2007 Basis UK from Broekhuis Training Groep B.V. in September 2011.
