☁️ Alex Cohen

Alex Cohen has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. They most recently worked as a Cloud Security Engineer at Trapp Technology starting from March 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Technical Trainer at Offensive Security from October 2021 to December 2022, where they specialized in security operations and defense analysis.

Before joining Offensive Security, Alex held multiple positions at Trapp Technology from January 2021 to December 2021. They started as a Cybersecurity Technician, providing level 1 support for security alerts and troubleshooting issues. They then transitioned to the role of Cybersecurity Analyst I, overseeing a team and handling incident response and forensics analysis.

Alex also has experience in the cybersecurity field as an Assistant Instructor at Evolve Security Academy from April 2020 to April 2021. They managed a red team and facilitated curriculum for students, focusing on vulnerability analysis and penetration testing for non-profit clients.

Prior to their cybersecurity roles, Alex worked in marketing and consulting positions. They served as the Director of Marketing at Global Cannect Agency from August 2019 to March 2020. Before that, they worked as a Digital Consultant at EM Search Consulting, LLC. from September 2017 to June 2019.

Alex Cohen attended DePaul University from 2006 to 2010, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Commerce with a focus on Marketing and Sales Leadership. Following this, in 2020, Alex attended Evolve Security Academy for a short period, focusing on Cyber Security. In terms of certifications, Alex obtained the CompTIA Security+ ce Certification from CompTIA in November 2020. Additionally, they obtained the Evolve Security Certified Professional and the Evolve Security Academy Bootcamp Certificate of Completion from Evolve Security Academy in October 2020. Lastly, Alex obtained the Offensive Security Defense Analyst (OSDA) certification from Offensive Security in November 2022.
