Matthew C Stevens has a long and varied work experience. Starting in 2007, they worked at KPMG Canada as a Manager of Corporate Finance and Business Valuations, Campus Recruitment Coordinator, and Senior Accountant of Audit, Financial Institutions, and Real Estate. In 2014, they took on an internship at Great Point Media Limited. In 2015, they were promoted to Commercial Director, where they executed two venture capital investments, launched a film distribution business, and negotiated two studio slate deals. In 2019, they became the Director of the Board of Directors at Looper Insights. In 2020, they worked as a Founder-In-Residence at Entrepreneur First, Controller at BC Hop Company Ltd., and Consultant at Great Point Capital Management. Most recently, in 2021, they were appointed Chief Financial Officer and Controller at Travala.com, as well as joining the Finance Team at Genesys Partners.
Matthew C Stevens has an extensive education history. Matthew C obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) from The University of British Columbia in 2007. Matthew C then went on to pursue a Master of Professional Accounting (MPAcc) from the University of Saskatchewan in 2008-2009. In 2010-2012, they obtained a Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) from the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators. During this time, they also obtained a Chartered Accountant (CA) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia (Canada) in 2010. In 2013-2015, they attended London Business School and obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) and in 2014-present, they are attending UCLA Anderson School of Management and is pursuing a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in International Exchange. Additionally, they participated in exchanges at Università Bocconi and Universite Catholique de Louvain in 2006 and 2005, respectively.
