Cheryl Stryker-Whyte

HR Manager at Travel Oregon

Cheryl Stryker-Whyte has worked in a variety of roles since 1989. Cheryl began as an independent musician, performing and managing promotions, product design, sales, distribution and tour planning. In 2001, they took a role at The Saint Louis Brewery (Schlafly Beer) as an Administrator/Web & Print Designer. Here, they designed and edited a monthly newsletter, press releases, web copy and print promotional materials, and assisted with event coordination. Cheryl also designed and built a new website in coordination with the launch of a new bottling line. In 2007, Stryker-Whyte joined Rejuvenation (Williams-Sonoma, Inc.) as a Human Resources Specialist, where they provided support for 200+ employees and handled payroll & benefits support, HRIS maintenance & reporting, and performance management guidance. In 2013, they joined Travel Oregon as an HR Manager, designing, implementing and managing HR programs, policies and practices. Cheryl later became an HR Generalist in 2015, and an Executive Assistant/HR Generalist in 2013.

Cheryl Stryker-Whyte has obtained a Human Resources Management Certificate from Portland State University and a Pre-Nursing, Music degree from Saint Louis Community College. In February 2017, they obtained the State Certified HR Professional certification from the State of Oregon (DAS CHRO).
