Martin Scherr

Martin Scherr has extensive experience in the field of social work and child advocacy, highlighted by a strong commitment to various organizations since 1989. Currently serving as a volunteer at Travelers Aid International and a board member at Restore Mass Ave, Martin also co-chairs the Campaign for US Ratification of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, along with a similar initiative dating back to 1999. Previous roles include president of the American Support Board at Deepalaya and director of the International Office at both CWLA and the Child Welfare League. Martin's educational background includes a DSW (ABD) from the University of Pennsylvania and an MSSW from Bryn Mawr College, solidifying a robust foundation in community organization and advocacy.
