Jon Lisec

Jon Lisec has extensive work experience in the software development and architecture field. Jon started their career at J.D. Edwards, where they worked as a Programmer Analyst and Technical Consultant, resolving client issues and improving the effectiveness of the JDE Japan team. Jon then joined Sun Microsystems as a Java Consultant, providing architecture guidance and implementing JEE application prototypes for customers. After that, Jon worked at Raytheon as a Senior Software Development Engineer II and Software Technical Lead, designing and developing services, managing teams, and improving build performance. Currently, they are employed at Travelport, where they started as a Senior Software Development Engineer and progressed to roles such as Senior Enterprise Architect and Principal Architect. In their current position, Jon leads teams, defines platform architecture strategies, and provides architecture guidance for various technical services. Overall, Jon Lisec has a diverse range of experience in software development, architecture, and team management.

Jon Lisec earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder, which they completed between 1986 and 1991. In addition, they possess various certifications including the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS) obtained in June 2022, and multiple certifications from Scaled Agile, Inc., such as the Certified SAFe® 5 Agilist obtained in August 2020 and the Certified SAFe® 5 DevOps Practitioner obtained in June 2020. Jon also holds certifications in Building & Leading Effective Teams from Columbia Business School Executive Education, obtained in 2017.
