Alex Pop

Alex Pop is currently the Business Development manager at Travelstride, but has an extensive and interesting work history leading up to this position. From June to August 2018, Alex was an intern at Unreel in the position of Growth Hacker. There, they were responsible for developing and growing social media accounts on popular platforms such as Facebook and Instagram. They also created content for the Unreel Channel Blogs in order to generate traffic and user interest. In September 2014, Alex took a break from the workforce to travel abroad and volunteer in the European Union. There, they taught English to middle and high school students in Orguț: a rural mountain community. They also designed and implemented a local irrigation system, collaborated in the restoration of a 14th century chapel, and traversed Romania on bicycle following the Danube river to the Black Sea. Living with and working alongside a local family, Alex learned organic and traditional Romanian farming methods. This experience gave them a well-rounded skillset that they have been able to utilize in their current position at Travelstride.

Alex Pop has a Bachelor of Arts in Film from the University of California, Berkeley and a Cinema & New Media Studies degree from Columbia University in the City of New York.
