Mike Sweeney has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and industries. Mike began their career in 1973 as a Data Processing Manager at Morrison-Knudson, where they were responsible for managing data processing operations on major projects in Iran and Zaire. Mike then joined Air Base Constructors in 1979 as a Project Data Processing Manager, overseeing a multimillion-dollar airbase project in Israel and developing a real-time Material Management System. In 1981, Sweeney joined Bechtel Group Inc as the Manager of Engineering Computing, leading a team responsible for CAD and CAE computer operations, software development, and technical support. Mike also served as a Project Manager, overseeing the development of a Computer Automation Plan for a large oil refinery. From 1986 to 1992, Sweeney worked at Honeywell Inc as a National Account Manager, handling strategic national accounts within the Electronics Industry and managing the largest third-party computer services contract in the company's history. In 1993, they founded their own software company, Traxstar Technologies, where they served as President and CEO. The company produced commercial off-the-shelf software for enterprise management control and tracking systems, and subsequently shifted its focus to web-native workflow software applications for design engineers and test labs within Fortune 2000 companies. Sweeney successfully sold two divisions in 2007 to concentrate on this new direction.
Mike Sweeney obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Applied Math/Computer Science from Boise State University, where they attended from 1969 to 1973.
