Raquel Zambrano Varela

Raquel Zambrano Varela's work experience includes roles at three different companies. From 2015 to 2015, they worked as a Becaria División Ingeniería área de Procesos at INERCO. In 2016, they worked as a Research and Development Intern at HOLDIGAZ (Swiss Natural Gas Distribution Company). Since 2017, Raquel has been working at TreaTech, first as a Lead Engineer and then as the COO and co-founder starting in November 2020. TreaTech is a Swiss Cleantech company focused on developing eco-friendly treatment technology for wastewater.

Raquel Zambrano Varela has a strong educational background in Chemical Engineering. Raquel obtained their Licentiate degree in Chemical Engineering from Universidad de Sevilla, where they studied from 2009 to 2014.

In 2013, they participated in an Erasmus exchange program and studied Chemical Engineering at Aalto University for one year. Raquel then pursued further studies at EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne), where they completed their Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology from 2015 to 2017.

In June 2020, they obtained the PRINCE2® Foundation Certification Training from AXELOS Global Best Practice. Furthermore, in July 2014, they achieved the Certificate in Advanced English from Cambridge English Language Assessment.
