Matthew Colvin

Matthew Colvin, PMP, MBA has extensive experience in logistics and supply chain management. Matthew currently holds the position of Director of Logistics at Tree Top, Inc. starting from July 2018. Additionally, they serve as a Board Member at Washington Trucking Associations since January 2019.

Previously, Matthew held various roles at DOLE Fresh Vegetables, including Director of Supply Chain from July 2016 to June 2018, Director of Demand Planning and Production from December 2015 to July 2016, and Sr. Materials Manager, West Coast, Value Added Products from December 2014 to November 2015.

Prior to that, they worked at Dole Food Company as the Operations Manager for Dole Ocean Cargo Express from December 2005 to November 2014.

Matthew also has experience in the maritime industry, having worked as a Lieutenant at USNR, where they provided consultation for the Department of Transportation and advised MARAD senior management on various events and crisis management exercises.

Furthermore, they served as a Superintendent at Metropolitan Stevedore Company, where they managed and planned operations for a multi-line ocean cargo terminal.

Before their career in logistics, Matthew worked as a Marine Surveyor at VeriClaim Inc., investigating and documenting transit-related cargo claims. Matthew was quickly promoted to a regional surveyor position with additional operational, sales, and business development responsibilities.

Matthew's consistent experience in logistics and supply chain management, along with their expertise in the maritime industry, make him a valuable asset in their current role and future endeavors.

Matthew Colvin, PMP, MBA has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Logistics and Intermodal Transportation from the United States Merchant Marine Academy, which they obtained from 1998 to 2002. Matthew later pursued their Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Webster University, completing it from 2007 to 2010. In addition to their degrees, they have obtained certifications such as a Certificate for Supply Chain Dynamics from MIT (edX) in 2016, as well as the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in August 2016.
