Michael Lanero Fidalgo

Michael Lanero Fidalgo is the current COO at TreeFrog Therapeutics. Prior to this, they were the Director, Head of Biodevelopment center - EMEA Region at Merck Life Science from October 2016 to January 2020. There, they turned an intrapreneurial vision into reality by scaling up an innovative business focused on seeding new technology applications and services into a referenced CDMO, transiting from development to commercial manufacturing for cutting-edge therapies. Michael defined strategy across all core business functions including process development, GMP manufacturing, supply chain as well as quality and supporting sales functions.

Under their leadership, the team grew the business by a CAGR of 25% on the last 3 years. Michael managed a 170+ FTEs organization growing by an average rate of 20-30 FTEs per year. Michael provided guidance for development services and delivery organization facing various client demands and specific requirements. Additionally, they effectively managed teams to deliver 5-year strategic business plans and budgets. Michael also improved operational activities from a scientific and organizational stand point according to the 5 years strategic plan. Lastly, they evaluated new businesses and services aligned with customers' feedback.

Michael Lanero Fidalgo has a background in engineering and biochemistry, and has a graduate degree in medical biology. Michael is currently pursuing an Executive Global MBA at KEDGE Business School.
