Scott White has a diverse work experience in the field of cloud infrastructure and operations. Scott has recently worked at Treeline Biosciences as a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer. Prior to that, Scott worked at Vertical Relevance, where they served as a Senior Cloud Consultant and Cloud Consultant, contributing to engagements for major global financial firms. Scott'sresponsibilities included Terraform and Python development on AWS, CI/CD implementation, resiliency/chaos engineering, and some DataOps work.
Before their time at Vertical Relevance, Scott was a Cloud Operations Engineer at OpenEye Scientific, where they managed and developed infrastructure for the Orion Scientific Computing platform. Scott implemented an automated monitoring deployment solution and designed CI/CD pipelines using Gitlab.
Scott also has experience as a Storage Engineer at Los Alamos National Laboratory, where they administered storage operations for high-performance computing, integrated experimental storage technologies, and automated deployments of Lustre using Ansible scripts. Additionally, they worked as a System Manager at Doxcelerate Corp, where they architected and developed equipment racks, virtualization infrastructure, and automated backup systems.
Scott began their career at Bioneers as a Systems Administrator, starting at the help desk and eventually managing the IT infrastructure and websites of the company. Scott also set up WiFi networks for Bioneers conferences using WRT54GL routers running dd-wrt.
Scott White obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Maryland Baltimore County. Scott completed their undergraduate studies from 2003 to 2005. In addition to their degree, Scott obtained a certification as an AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in February 2020.
