Curtis Zaun serves as the Director of Policy & Regulatory Affairs and a member of the Board of Directors at the Minnesota Solar Energy Industries Association (MnSEIA) since September 2021. In addition, Curtis operates as an Attorney with a practice focused on renewable energy project development since August 2020. Curtis also works as a Guide for Trek Travel since March 2019, facilitating cycling experiences globally. Previously, Curtis held various roles in the State of Minnesota including Assistant Commissioner and Assistant General Counsel from May 2014 to May 2019, overseeing legal issues in the Division of Energy Resources. Curtis's legal expertise spans consumer protection laws, civil litigation, and several attorney positions with organizations such as the Consumer Law Center and Champion Law LLC. Curtis earned a J.D. from Mitchell Hamline School of Law, a Master’s in Public Administration from Hamline University, and a BSS in Philosophy, History, and Politics from Cornell College.
