Joy Bessenger

Joy Bessenger began their work experience in 2002 as the Vice President of Strategy and Development at deCODE genetics, a global leader in analyzing and understanding the human genome. Joy worked there until 2010.

From 2012 to 2017, Joy served as the CFO and Co-founder of 3D-Forensic, a company specializing in forensic animation, video analysis, laser scanning, and photogrammetry.

In 2017, Joy joined IN8bio as the SVP of Strategy and Finance, where they focused on delivering novel off-the-shelf cell therapy for cancer treatment. Joy held this position until 2019.

In 2019, Joy started their consultancy, Joy Bessenger Consultancy, as its Principal. Joy took on various projects, including developing strategic positioning for biotech start-ups and providing strategic planning for a fast-growing tech services company.

Joy worked at IMV Inc. in 2021 as the SVP of Investor Relations and Corporate Strategy. Joy played a crucial role in advancing the company's portfolio of therapies based on their immune-educating platform.

In 2022, Joy founded Cotuit Strategy Group, focusing on strategic planning and consultancy services.

Joy also served as the Co-Chair of MAPS Greater Boston at WIB-Greater Boston in 2022.

Joy's latest position is as the CFO at Trellus Health, a company commercializing personalized self-management solutions for chronic health conditions. Their initial focus is on IBD and IBS.

Joy Bessenger holds a BA in International Studies and Economics from the University of South Florida.
