Justin D’Ottavio

Justin D’Ottavio is currently the VP of Technology at Trellus. Prior to this, they were the Lead Application Development Engineer at MM Hayes from November 2014 to July 2020, where they were responsible for designing and architecting new features and apps to meet clients’ needs. Justin also managed a team of 2-4 people and conducted interviews for new candidates for both the Application and Web Development teams. Under their leadership, the company designed and built their first mobile app, which led to a sharp rise in high profile customer acquisition. Justin also refactored the inventory system, leading to an incredibly precipitous drop in helpdesk cases.

Before MM Hayes, Justin worked as a Device Engineer at GLOBALFOUNDRIES from June 2011 to November 2014. There, they were responsible for the development and utilization of Statistical Analysis Software (SAS) for data mining and web based data visualization. Justin also did process engineering utilizing large data sets spanning all physical and electrical device characteristics, as well as correlation and variation analysis for quality assurance, yield improvement, tool matching and line stability. Additionally, they were responsible for setting up a business to business parameter calculation system for timely data transfer to key customers. Justin ended their time there by being responsible for the reporting and improvement of customer critical parameters related to front end device development.

Justin D’Ottavio received a BS in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Columbia University and a BS in Physics from Adelphi University.
