Magnus von Koeller has a diverse work experience, starting as an Intern at Arthur D. Little, where they analyzed the cost structure of a German airport's IT department. Later, they volunteered at CENIT Ecuador, teaching a homework help class for primary school children and relaunching their website. Magnus then worked at sd&m AG as a Software Engineer, leading the implementation of complex custom software components and contributing to their employee magazine. Magnus co-founded BestVendor, where they served as Head of Engineering and raised significant funding. Magnus also founded Wunderstore, a platform for bloggers to create storefronts, and served as Director of Engineering at Bonobos, overseeing software development operations. At AngelList, they worked as a Venture Hacker, implementing an automated invoicing and accounting system. Most recently, Magnus joined Tremendous as a Senior Software Engineer and later became the VP of Engineering. During a career break, they were a Stay-at-home dad, managing their three children through a cross-country move and a pandemic.
Magnus von Koeller obtained their Abitur from Jugenddorf-Christophorusschule Braunschweig in the years 1997 to 2002. Magnus then pursued their Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from the International University in Germany from 2003 to 2006. Later, in the year 2005, they briefly attended Tecnológico de Monterrey. Lastly, Magnus completed an MBA from Columbia Business School during the period of 2010 to 2011.
