Bob Wassman has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Bob currently serves as the Chief Medical Officer at TREND Community, a digital health analytics company. In this role, they provide medical advisory services and contributes to the mission of accelerating treatment discovery and improving the quality of life for people with rare and underserved diseases.

Prior to their current position, Wassman held the role of Director at Progenitor MDX, a company involved in an undisclosed field. Bob also served as a Board Member at TESS Research Foundation from 2019 onwards.

In 1983, Wassman founded Life Designs Ventures, where they worked as the Principal, CEO, and CMO. Bob'sclients included laboratories, diagnostics and device companies, payers, investors, and government agencies.

Wassman has held various significant positions in other companies as well. Bob worked as the Laboratory Co-Director at Predictive Laboratories from August 2019 to December 2021. Bob served as a Medical Advisor at GenePeeks from October 2016 to March 2018. Wassman held the position of Chief Medical Officer at Lineagen from September 2015 to September 2017 and at Rosetta Genomics from October 2012 to September 2015.

Bob has also held key leadership roles at Generation Health as the Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer from August 2011 to August 2012 and as the Chief Genomics Officer from June 2010 to August 2012.

Earlier in their career, Wassman worked at Helicos BioSciences as the Senior Vice President and CMO from June 2010 to November 2010.

Bob Wassman completed their high school education at Mamaroneck High School from 1966 to 1969. Bob then attended Albany Medical College from 1973 to 1977, earning an MD degree in Medicine. Following that, Wassman pursued a Resident/Assistant Pediatrician position at NYH-Cornell University Medical Center from 1977 to 1979. Bob then engaged in post-doctorate studies in Medical Genetics at UCLA from 1979 to 1983. In 1993, Wassman attended Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health for an executive program in Managed Healthcare, obtaining a Certificate in Managed Health Care. Lastly, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree with cum laude honors in Biology (Intensive) from Yale University between 1969 and 1973.
