Richard Hoponick has a comprehensive work experience spanning over multiple roles and companies. Richard began their career as a Senior Auditor at Arthur Andersen & Co. in 1985 before moving on to become the Manager of Corporate Accounting & Budgets at Pitney Bowes in 1989. Richard then joined Transpro, Inc. as the Manager of External Reporting & Internal Audit in 1997.
In 1998, Hoponick started working at Thomson Reuters, where they held various positions including Assistant Controller for Thomson Learning, Vice President & Controller for Thomson Prometric, and Vice President & Controller for Thomson Scientific & Healthcare. During their time at Thomson Reuters, they established shared services functions, implemented accounting policies, and improved accounting processes.
In 2007, Hoponick became the Vice President & Assistant Controller of Consolidations and Reporting at Thomson Reuters. Richard later transitioned to the role of Vice President Finance, overseeing the financial operations of the shared services organization, corporate headquarters, and Reuters News organizations. Additionally, they served as the Vice President Global Controller for the Financial & Risk and Reuters News organizations.
After their tenure at Thomson Reuters, Hoponick worked at Refinitiv as the Chief Accounting Officer for the spin-off of the Financial & Risk business unit. Richard'sresponsibilities included managing a global team, preparing financial statements, and handling debt raising processes.
Most recently, in 2021, Hoponick joined LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group) as the Head of Financial Controls. Richard currently holds the position of Vice President and Controller at Trepp, Inc. starting from January 2023.
Richard Hoponick attended Boston College from 1981 to 1985, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Accounting.
