Andres P.

Andres P. has been working in the software engineering field since 2007. Andres started as a Java Programmer at Harvey Mudd College, where they rewrote the user interface and added 3D functionality for the college's ordinary differential equation solving software. Andres also overhauled the underlying data structures of the software to improve performance. In 2008, they worked as a Researcher at Northern Arizona University, where they wrote Mathematica programs to determine algebraic properties of arrangements. In 2009, they worked as a Software Engineer Intern at Bluebeam, Inc. In 2011, they worked as a Research Analyst at the California Institute of Technology. Finally, from 2012 to present, they have been at Tresata as a Lead Software Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, and Software Engineer. Theirwork focuses on backend development on the Hadoop platform, coding primarily in Scala, with some Java, Python, and Ruby.
