Jason D. Johnson

Jason Johnson focuses his practice on commercial litigation and represents clients in both the prosecution and defense of civil actions in state and federal court with first chair trial experience in both jury trials and bench trials. He also has extensive experience in construction litigation, regularly representing contractors and subcontractors in contractual disputes from the pre-litigation steps of preserving and perfecting mechanics liens to the enforcement and collection of judgments. Jason also is experienced in corporate litigation (including professional corporations) such as shareholder and partner disputes, contested corporate dissolutions and successor liability issues.

Jason has significant experience representing pharmaceutical companies in product liability actions involving pharmaceutical products, including mass action and class action cases. Jason has experience in all steps of the litigation process from the initial investigation and pleadings stage to the trial and appellate stages. Additionally, his litigation experience extends from small claims cases and arbitration cases to large, complex litigation involving multi-million dollar claims.

Jason also represents and advises clients regarding employment law matters and has significant litigation experience involving employment disputes.

Jason was previously Of Counsel at a well-known law firm. He has also served as an adjunct professor at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville teaching the Construction Contracts course since 2017.
