Faraz Zaidi

Faraz Zaidi is a quantitative researcher at Trexquant Investment LP, focusing on mid-frequency market neutral portfolios since August 2023. Previously, Zaidi worked as a machine learning engineer at JPMorgan Chase & Co. from July 2021 to August 2023, where responsibilities included end-to-end development and deployment of machine learning models for risk and finance applications. Zaidi served as a deep learning researcher at Technische Universität Darmstadt for nearly a year and was an institute football captain at the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, leading the team to notable successes in inter-institute tournaments. Additionally, Zaidi held roles as a senior member of the Data Science Group at IIT Roorkee, data scientist at Classplus and Sopra Steria, and associate data scientist at Publicis Sapient, contributing to various data science projects and initiatives. Zaidi earned an Integrated M.Tech (B.Tech + M.Tech) in Engineering from IIT Roorkee between 2016 and 2021.
