John McGinley has a diverse work experience in various roles within the gaming and film industry. John started their career as a Corporate Pickup Will Call Lead at CompUSA from March 1993 to January 1995. John then worked as a 3D Artist at Interplay from January 1995 to October 1998. From March 1999 to April 2000, they worked at Foundation Imaging as a 3D Artist. John joined Black Ops as a 3D Artist from April 2000 to September 2000. John worked again at Foundation Imaging as a 3D Artist from September 2000 to November 2001. John also worked as a 3D Artist at Digital Domain from January 2002 to February 2002 and at Eden FX from February 2002 to March 2002. John joined Treyarch as an Art Specialist in March 2002 and continued to work there till the present day. In 2004, John had a freelance role as a 3D Modeler and briefly worked as a Film Editor at Mahalo Bay Pictures in 2007.
John McGinley attended Los Amigos High School from 1988 to 1990, where they obtained a General Education degree. After that, they enrolled at Austin Peay State University for the academic year 1991-1992, but it is unknown if they completed a degree or field of study during their time there.
