Edward Haile

Edward Haile has a diverse work experience spanning over 25 years. Edward is currently serving as the Senior Director of Engineering at Resideo since April 2023. Prior to this role, they worked as the Chief Engineer at Triastek, Inc. from February 2023.

From 2018 to 2022, Edward held various roles at BOBST. Edward started as the Head of Research, Development, and Engineering, BU Printing & Converting from January 2021 to December 2022. During this time, they focused on change management, product development, quality improvement, and cost management. Before that, they served as the Head of Research and Development, Sheet-fed Business Unit from November 2018 to December 2020. In this role, they led a team of engineers, identified areas for improvement, and implemented changes to streamline operations and achieve targets.

Before joining BOBST, Edward had a successful career at Honeywell. Edward worked as the Global Sales Director - Airports for a brief period in 2018. Prior to that, they held the position of Senior Director Program Management, Aerospace from 2013 to 2018. In this role, they led global teams and successfully generated new business opportunities in the connectivity, software, and services market. Edward also served as the Vice President of Engineering ECC EMEA from 2010 to 2012 and as the Director of Engineering Combustion Controls EMEA from 2008 to 2010.

Edward's career began in 1996 when they worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Centre National d'Études Spatiales. Here, they conducted research on thrust oscillations in the solid rocket boosters of the Ariane 5 launch vehicle.

Before transitioning to the industry, Edward worked at Elco Cuenod Ecoflam as a Project Manager from 1998 to 2001. Edward also gained valuable experience at Ariston Thermo Group, where they held the positions of Product Planning & Quality Director from 2006 to 2008 and RD&E Manager from 2001 to 2006.

Edward Haile has an extensive education history in engineering and linguistics. In 1992, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Cornell University. At the same time, they also earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Romance Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics from Cornell University.

Following their undergraduate studies, Edward pursued further education at Ecole centrale de Lyon, where they completed a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1993.

Edward's academic journey then led him to CentraleSupélec, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering in 1996.

In addition to their formal education, Edward Haile also gained professional certifications. In 2008, they earned a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification from Honeywell. Later, in 2014, they obtained a Flight Crew License - PPL(A) from the Federal Office of Civil Aviation Switzerland.
