Mark Graves

Mark Graves is Chief Legal Officer of Tribal Credit, where he leads the global legal, compliance, governance, regulatory relations, and data protection & privacy compliance functions. Mark has a wealth of experience leading global expansion of financial institutions and is putting that expertise to good use at Tribal. His strategic vision and direction previously helped card issuing unicorn, Marqeta Inc., double its growth to US $2 billion. Mark has 25+ years of hands-on experience and skills honed at a multitude of organizations, including SVB Financial Group, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) among others. He is an expert in enterprise governance, risk and compliance functions, financial institution regulatory relations, and data protection & privacy compliance. He is certified in Regulatory and Compliance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and in Anti-Money Laundering from ACAMS. Mark earned a JD in Law from Texas Tech University, and a BBA in Accounting from Texas Christian University.
