Kurt Madden

Kurt Madden has extensive experience in the education and coaching industry. Kurt currently serves as the CEO and President of KM Educational Consulting and Executive Coaching Services, a role they started in 2021. Prior to this, they were the CEO of Motivated Youth Academy, a Non-Classroom Based Charter School, from 2017 to the present. During their time there, they focused on the social emotional well-being of all students.

In addition to their work in education, Kurt has also held positions in the health and fitness industry. Kurt served as the Ambassador of Elite Athlete Program at MDrive from 2016 onwards, promoting health, fitness, and their nutritional products. Kurt also worked as the Founding Master Coach at TriDot Triathlon Training, utilizing their online coaching service to enhance training and racing performance.

Kurt's entrepreneurial ventures include founding and being the CEO of TriPrime, LLC, a multi-sport and performance coaching service that caters to triathletes and individuals looking for an improved lifestyle. Kurt also served as the CEO of The Collaborative, an organization that offers flexible learning options to over 5,000 students throughout California.

Earlier in their career, Kurt held educational leadership positions. Kurt served as the Superintendent of Schools at Bear Valley Unified School District from 2011 to 2015. Kurt was also a Principal and Assistant Principal at San Diego Unified School District from 2004 to 2011, and an Assistant Principal at Fallbrook Union High School District from 1998 to 2004.

Kurt Madden holds a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Physical Education with an emphasis in Exercise Physiology from San Diego State University. In addition to their academic qualifications, Kurt has obtained various certifications related to coaching and education. These include being a USA Triathlon Level I Certified Coach and an IRONMAN Certified Coach, both obtained in 2016. Kurt has also completed the Personnel Academy and Personnel Administrators Academy, offered by ACSA, in 2015. Moreover, Kurt has obtained certifications in the Curriculum and Instructional Leaders Academy from the Association of California School Administrators and Masters in Governance from the California Schools Board Association, both obtained in 2015. Lastly, they obtained the Leading Edge Certification-Innovative Technology from ACSA in 2014.
