Craig Heyl is a highly experienced studio executive in the film, television, and digital entertainment industry. Craig has held various leadership roles throughout their career, starting with their position as VP Production at Crawford Communications from 1991 to 2000. During this time, they oversaw production, post-production, and creative services for major networks such as Discovery Channel and Disney.
From 2000 to 2015, Heyl worked at Turner Broadcasting System, where they held the positions of Vice President - Turner Studios Production Operations and Senior Vice President Turner Studios. In these roles, they had executive oversight of content production, creative services, digital media, and technology teams for Turner's global brands, including TNT, TBS, Cartoon Network, and more.
In 2015, Heyl transitioned to become an advisor for Georgia's Music, Film, Television, and Digital Entertainment Advisory Commission. Craig played a key role in advising the state of Georgia on its digital entertainment industry, contributing to the industry's growth of over $7 billion annually.
In 2017, Heyl joined Trilith Studios as the COO and Executive In Charge of Production. In this position, they are responsible for the company's vision, strategy, and partnerships related to studio operations, business development, and content and technology investments. Craig focuses on the strategic growth and development of Pinewood Atlanta Studios' creative marketplace ecosystem.
Overall, Heyl has over 28 years of experience in the industry and has been involved in the production of notable films such as Ant-Man, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2, Spider-Man: Homecoming, and Passengers.
