Michael Byrd

Michael Byrd has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. In 2020, they worked as a Finance Intern at Rivian and also served as an Impact Advisory Associate at Yale Climate Connections. In 2021, they worked as a Farm Assistant at Triple Plaid Farm and later became a Farm Manager at Wild Flora Farm. Michael also worked as an ESG Reporting Leadership Associate at the Center for Sustainable Enterprise. In 2022, they interned at Ceres, Inc. as a Company Network Intern - ESG and at Deloitte as a Sustainability and ESG Intern. Michael also worked as a Research Assistant at NUS Centre for Nature-based Climate Solutions. Currently, they are an Investment Associate at Trillium Asset Management, starting in 2023. Throughout their career, Michael has gained experience in various roles related to sustainability, environmental issues, finance, and research.

Michael Byrd obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Environmental Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Michael attended the university from 2018 to 2023. In 2022, they also studied Nature-Based Climate Solutions at the National University of Singapore for one year, although they did not earn a degree. Prior to that, from 2014 to 2018, Michael completed their high school education at Martin L. Nesbitt Jr. Discovery Academy.
