Amir Ginzburg

Dr. Ginzburg is the Senior Vice President of Quality and Patient Experience, Practice and Medical Affairs at Trillium Health Partners (THP) and leads key enabling functions and improvement initiatives for professional staff. He previously served in a number of senior leadership roles at THP including Chief of Quality, Medical Director of Medical Affairs, and Program Chief and Medical Director of the Medicine Program.

He is a nationally-recognized medical leader in advancing quality and patient safety. He has worked across sectors as a Clinical Quality Lead at Ontario Health to support the development of a province-wide quality standard for transitions of care between hospital and home. He has also leveraged his experience at THP to help several Ontario hospitals to implement best practices for hospital physician management.

His work has been recognized with a 3M National Quality Team Award from the Canadian College of Healthcare Leaders and two Innovations in Patient Safety Education Awards from the Canadian Patient Safety Institute.

Dr. Ginzburg is an accomplished educator with academic affiliations at the University of Toronto including the Department of Medicine; the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation (IHPME); and the Centre for Quality Improvement and Patient Safety as well as the Institute for Better Health at THP.
