Sarah McGeehan has extensive experience in finance, innovation, and social enterprise. Sarah served as the Chief Operating Officer and CFO at Trillium Technologies from 2014 to 2017, and as the founder of Health=Wealth, where they worked on a portfolio of projects including designing and managing a £10m investment and contract readiness fund for social ventures in the UK. Sarah also worked at The Next Practice as a senior innovation consultant advising clients on approaches to systemic innovation in commercial settings, and at The Young Foundation as the Head of Regional Innovation Fund Advisory Service. Sarah led the Regional Innovation Fund Advisory service, which is supporting the management and disbursement of the £220 million NHS Regional Innovation Funds across the 10 English strategic health authorities. Sarah was also the Head of Social Finance at NESTA and a Deputy Chief Executive at Community Development Finance Association, where they supported UK-based community development finance institutions. Sarah started their career at ACORD, London, as a consultant, carrying out the consultation work and writing the micro-finance policy.
Sarah McGeehan obtained a BA 1st degree in Linguistics and Social Anthropology from the Social Anthropology Department of The University of Manchester from 1990-1993. Sarah later pursued an MA degree in the Anthropology of Development from SOAS University of London from 1996-1997.
