Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Analyst at the US Government Accountability Office, where they focused on science, technology assessment, and analytics. Jacob Leon has also held positions as the Head of Legal & Compliance at MOBY GROUP, a Senior Compliance Manager at Careem, and as a Compliance Officer & Program Auditor at Promontory Financial Group, an IBM Company. Jacob began their career at the U.S. Government Accountability Office as a Senior Analyst in contracting and national security acquisitions. Jacob Leon also gained experience as a Legal Research Fellow at The World Bank and as a Law Clerk at Kenny & Kenny Law Office.

Jacob Leon Beier graduated from Illinois State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Politics and Government, Peace and Conflict Resolution, and Philosophy in 2006. Jacob Leon then pursued further education at Syracuse University, where they obtained a Master of Arts degree in Political Science from the Maxwell School in 2009. During the same period, they also completed their Doctor of Law (JD) degree at Syracuse University College of Law.
