Tom Hill

Tom Hill is an experienced technology professional with a strong background in software development and engineering management. Currently serving as Technical Strategy Manager and previously as Software and Alpha Engineering Manager at Trimble Inc. since January 2018, Tom is responsible for the operations of engineering organizations. Prior to this, Tom held the position of Software Delivery Team Lead for a Christchurch-based system software delivery team. From January 2011 to December 2017, Tom worked at Smudge as a Senior iOS/Mobile Developer and Team Leader, focusing on mobile development in iOS and Java while leading a team for large-scale enterprise applications. Earlier experience includes an iOS Developer role at the App Store and System Administrator position at Mairehau Primary School. Tom is pursuing a Bachelor of Information and Communication Technology with a focus on Computer Programming at Christchurch Polytechnic Institute of Technology.
