Jacob Nelson

Jacob Nelson is an experienced facilities management professional with a strong background in operations and maintenance. Since August 2022, Jacob has served as Manager of Facilities Management at TriMet and previously held the position of Assistant Manager in the same department. Prior to TriMet, significant roles included Engineering & Facilities Senior Operations Manager and Engineering and Facilities Operations Manager at Target, where responsibilities included overseeing a 1.5-million-square-foot distribution center. Earlier experience includes Maintenance Manager at the Oregon Zoo, Project Manager at Mike's Heating & AC, and multiple roles in property operations at various hotels. Jacob's career started in the US Navy as an Operations Specialist. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Physical Geography from Eastern Washington University and an Associate of Arts in Geography from the Community Colleges of Spokane.
