Ken Purchase has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Ken is currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer at Trio Labs, Inc. since April 2020. Prior to this, they were a Member, Investor, and Advisor at Wolfpack Investor Network starting from May 2018.

From August 2019 to February 2021, Ken worked as the Senior Director of Business Development at X-Celeprint. In this role, they brought in significant non-dilutive funding and developed strategic partnerships for the company. X-Celeprint specializes in semiconductor technology and enables higher-performance semiconductors through its Micro Transfer Printing (MTP) process.

Before joining X-Celeprint, Ken served as the Product Development Manager at Bright View Technologies from 2005 to 2019. Bright View Technologies is a leading manufacturer of precision microstructured and microlensed surfaces for consumer electronics, displays, and LED lighting. During their tenure, Ken played a key role in core technology creation, product development, market strategy, and IP generation.

Prior to Bright View Technologies, Ken worked at Intel as a Senior Engineer/Team Leader from 2002 to 2005. Ken also has experience from their time at NeoPhotonics, where they served as a Technical Program Manager for New Product Development from 1997 to 2002. At NeoPhotonics, they were involved in program management, new product development, and introduction, as well as optical device design and engineering. Ken is credited with being an inventor of the globally recognized athermal AWG module, which became a standard in the industry.

Ken Purchase has a strong educational background in the field of Electrical Engineering, specializing in Optics and Photonics. Ken obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering and Physics from the University of Maryland. Ken then pursued further education at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree and a Doctorate (PhD) in Electrical Engineering, both with a focus on Optics and Photonics. In addition to their academic achievements, Ken also holds certifications in areas such as Building and Leading Effective Teams from Columbia Business School and Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) from the Scrum Alliance.
