Erik Schouten

Erik Schouten has a strong background in information security and IT architecture. Erik began their career as an Assistent in Opleiding at Universiteit Twente and Rijksuniversiteit Groningen. Erik then worked as a Process Engineer at ABB Lummus Global before transitioning into the field of IT. At Didacticum, they served as a Netwerk specialist for a brief period. Erik then moved on to Fortis Bank as a Network Security Consultant, where they gained valuable experience in the field. Erik later joined ABN AMRO as an IT Solution Architect and Information Security Architect. Currently, they are working at Triodos Bank as the Chief Information Security Officer and has previously held the role of Information Security Officer.

Erik Schouten holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science from Open Universiteit, which they obtained between 2002 and 2008. Prior to that, they pursued a post-academic study process design, earning a PdEng degree from the University of Twente from 1996 to 1998. Erik also has a degree in Chemical Engineering, known as Ir., from the University of Twente between 1991 and 1996. Erik Schouten has additional certifications in CISA from ISACA and CISSP from ISC2, although specific details regarding the date of acquisition are not provided.
