Willy Buitenwerf

Willy Buitenwerf is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in risk management and operational processes. Currently serving as a Senior First Line Risk Officer at Triodos Bank since March 2015, Willy is instrumental in establishing a new team aimed at coordinating non-financial risk management. Previously, in the role of Senior Operational Risk Manager at the largest Triodos Bank branch, Willy implemented the Operational Risk Management Framework. Prior experience includes roles at The Brink's Company as a SOX Coordinator for Finance, handling compliance and control tests; and at Menzis, where Willy developed process descriptions and supported business process redesigns. Additional experience includes quality advisory roles at Castel and Informatie Beheer Groep, and an administrative background in the education sector. Willy holds dual Bachelor's Degrees in HEAO and Education from Hanze University.
