Kevin O’Brien has over 30 years’ experience in the medical device industry, including senior management positions in product development, NPI, manufacturing, and customer support. His industry experience spans diagnostic, therapeutic, and aesthetic medical devices. Most recently Kevin lead the Customer Support department at Hansen Medical (acquired by Auris Surgical Robotics), managing a worldwide field service organization and leading New Product Introduction. Prior to Hansen Medical, he was VP Operations at Restoration Robotics where he developed and launched commercial operations of the ARTAS robotic hair transplant system. Prior to Restoration Robotics, Kevin was VP, Manufacturing and Customer Support at Accuray, where he delivered worldwide CyberKnife system installation and recurring service contract revenue, via global Manufacturing and Customer Support teams. Prior to Accuray, he was at Acuson (acquired by Siemens) where he was responsible for program management and new product development on the 128/XP, Aspen, and Sequoia ultrasound systems. Kevin started his career at Varian Oncology Systems, where he had a progression of roles including Quality Engineering, Reliability Engineering and Product Safety, and Project Management.
Kevin received a B.S. Industrial Technology from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and an M. S. Applied Math from Santa Clara University.
