Shay Messica

Shay Messica has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of data engineering and data architecture. Since 2022, Shay has been serving as the Head of Data Engineering and Data Architect at Triple Whale. In this role, they are responsible for overseeing and managing data engineering projects.

Prior to Triple Whale, Shay worked at Roundforest from 2021 to 2023 as the Head of Data and Platforms. During this time, their main responsibilities included building a data team and technology to support e-commerce and creating a data-driven ecosystem.

From 2018 to 2020, Shay was employed by HERE Technologies as a Data Team Manager and Data Architect. In this role, they managed a team of engineers and led the development of big data platforms and solutions for analytics and machine learning.

Before joining HERE Technologies, Shay worked at Barclays from 2016 to 2018 as an R&D Team Manager. Their primary focus was leading a team of developers in creating a multilingual solution for internal business analysts in the Risk domain.

Shay's early career was spent at PTC, where they held the position of R&D Technical Fellow from 2000 to 2016.

Shay Messica has a strong education background, having pursued both a Bachelor's degree and a Master of Business Administration (MBA). From 1997 to 2005, Shay attended The Open University of Israel and earned a Bachelor's degree in Management and Computer Science. Subsequently, from 2009 to 2014, Shay continued their education at the same institution and obtained an MBA with a specialization in Business.
