Alexander Schmitz has worked in the tech industry since 1996. Alexander began their career as a Freelance Web Developer and Graphic Artist. In 2005, they joined Starr Graphics as a Web Developer and Graphic Artist. In 2009, they became Internet Development Administrator and Graphic Artist at Bill Dodge Auto Group. Here, they developed consumer facing websites, website inventory systems, integrations between finance and inventory systems, and tools and integrations for sales teams. Alexander also managed and designed online advertising campaigns, managed writers and photographers, created designs for websites, advertising, and vinyl graphics for customer vehicles, and cut, designed, and applied vinyl graphics for automotive, window, and banner applications. In 2013, they became a Consultant at Filament Group, Inc. In 2015, they joined CÜR Media, Inc. as a Senior Engineer and Web Lead, and also joined the W3C as a member of the Web Platform and Audio Working Groups. In 2016, they became Lead Architect, Product Owner, and Scrum Master at Clipper Magazine. Here, they developed a replacement for a consumer facing E-commerce property, B2B applications, a large scale email sending system, API's and integrations with 3rd parties, and automated testing and continuous integration. In 2020, they joined Triplemint as a Senior Frontend Developer.

Alexander Schmitz attended the University of Southern Maine from 2002 to 2006, studying Theoretical and Mathematical Physics.
