Tanja Hüsch

Tanja Hüsch has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Tanja is currently employed at trivago as a Managing Director, a position they assumed in October 2023. Tanja also holds the role of Head of Internal Audit & Risk Management at trivago since September 2020. In addition, they work at Springer Nature Group as an Author/Expert, starting in August 2023.

Previously, Tanja worked at Vaillant Group where they served as the Deputy Group Director of Internal Audit until September 2020. Prior to that, they were a Senior Manager of Internal Audit at Vaillant Group and held this position since September 2011.

Before joining Vaillant Group, Tanja worked as a Lecturer at Steuerfachschule Endriss from August 2011 to November 2013 and as a Guest Lecturer at Hochschule Fresenius from March 2010 to August 2011.

Their early career includes significant roles at PwC Deutschland and Pricewaterhouse Coopers AG WPG, where they worked as a Manager, Prokurist and a Senior Associate/Associate respectively. Tanja was involved in various auditing and consulting projects, including the implementation and audit of risk management systems, coordination and monitoring of the introduction of SOX 404, and mentoring roles within the performance management system of PwC.

Tanja's earliest work experience was as an employee in the accounting department at Dr. Blumrath AG from December 1996 to June 2001.

Tanja Hüsch completed their education at the University of Cologne from 1995 to 2001, earning a Diplom-Kauffrau degree in Betriebswirtschaftslehre. In 2022, they attended INSEAD and successfully completed the In-Board Programme, focusing on Board Effectiveness. Additionally, they obtained certifications as Wirtschaftsprüferin from the Wirtschaftsprüferkammer in 2007 (currently not active) and as Steuerberaterin from the Steuerberaterkammer Düsseldorf in 2005.
