Derek Connor

Derek Connor has a diverse work experience. Derek started their career at the University of Strathclyde as a PhD Researcher where they conducted interdisciplinary research in the physics and biological sciences. Derek'swork involved optimizing and characterizing scientific instruments, as well as analyzing the data they produced. In 2017, Derek joined Triyit UK as a Lead Data Scientist. In this role, they developed and maintained databases on a cloud platform, used Python and R to analyze data and find patterns, and created visualizations to showcase the company's work. Derek later transitioned to the position of Director, where they had oversight of risk management, governance, and compliance, while also driving the company's strategy and aligning the data team to achieve long-term goals.

Derek Connor completed their education with a Master's Degree in Nanoscience from the University of Strathclyde in 2012-2013. Prior to that, they received their Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from the University of Glasgow in 2007-2011. Additionally, Derek Connor obtained their UK Driving License in January 2015.
