Nick Bridel

Nick Bridel is the Director at Tropical Marine Centre. Nick has over 20 years of experience in the aquaculture industry. Nick started their career as a Fish House Assistant / Hatchery Assistant at Tropical Marine Centre in January 2000 and was promoted to Hatchery Manager in January 1998. Nick was responsible for the management of an abalone farm, broodstock selection and spawning induction, larval rearing, algae culturing, settlement techniques, system design and maintenance, call out, and managing a staff of 5. In their current position as Director, they are responsible for the overall operation of the company.

Nick Bridel attended the University of Cape Town, where they earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Zoology with Hons. in Marine Biology. Nick also attended Kearsney College.
