Philip Yii

Philip Yii has a diverse work experience in the field of internal auditing. Philip started their career as an Audit Assistant at Yuen Tang & Co. in 2008, where they gained experience in conducting statutory audits and internal audits. From 2009 to 2013, Philip worked as an Internal Audit Officer at ORIX Leasing Malaysia Berhad, where they assisted in preparing audit reports, ensured Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance, and resolved compliance issues. In 2013, they joined Tropicana Corporation Berhad as an Internal Audit Executive and gradually progressed to the roles of Internal Audit Senior Executive, Assistant Manager Internal Audit, and currently, Internal Audit Manager. In their current role, Philip is responsible for developing and updating audit programs, leading audit assignments, conducting meetings with operational management personnel, and ensuring the completion of audit work within specific time frames.

Philip Yii pursued their education in a systematic manner, focusing on the field of accounting. Philip began their academic journey at Tunku Abdul Rahman University College (TARC) from 2002 to 2005. During this period, they completed their Diploma in Business Studies, specializing in accounting. Of note, they showcased their dedication and passion for the subject by achieving sufficient proficiency to further enhance their knowledge.

Building upon their diploma, Philip Yii continued their education at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) from 2006 to 2008. Philip pursued a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree with a major in accounting. This higher-level program in their chosen field allowed him to gain a deeper understanding and expertise in accounting principles, techniques, and practices.
